Measure two cups of water, wine or juice (apricot, cherry, strawberry or peach juices work best) into a non-reactive pot. Bring the liquid to a boil and remove it from the heat.
Add two heaping tablespoons of catnip and rose petals. You can substitute any feminine plants associated with Venus and water, as listed above. Also add nine cloves or a cinnamon stick and a piece of sugar cane if desired.
Allow the ingredients to steep for five minutes. Pour the potion through a strainer into a container. Allow it to cool. Pour yourself a cup and drink it to attract romantic interest.
Alternative Options
A potion is traditionally a drinking liquid, but you can be creative with the ingredients to obtain the same results. Another option is to make something edible that you can consume yourself or share with a lover.
Create an avocado dip by mashing avocados with minced garlic and ginger. Serve it with carrots and celery sticks as an appetizer on a romantic evening.
Making a carrot bread. Use any carrot bread recipe you like, adding one-fourth of a teaspoon of ground cloves and one teaspoon of thyme leaves to the batter. Cut the bread and serve it with honey.
