Candles can be a vital part of everyday life. We use candles to relax, scented candles to add fragrance to our homes, and those of us that are wiccan and pagan alike use candles in our rituals, whether that ritual is for healing or asking the Lord and Lady's blessing our everyday lives. Candles have many colors, each color has it's own significance.

- yellow-is used to represent the element air within the circle, also representing joy, vitality, intelligence, study, persuasion, charm and creativity.
- blue-is used for truth, tranquility, protection, hope, honor and change, and also represents the element water, in a later hub, I will discuss with your the purposes of a circle and alter set up.
- orange-is for courage,pride, ambition, enthusiasm, energy, friendship and opportunities.
- brown-is stability, integrety, justice, sensuality, endurance, concentration and grounding. Brown is also a great color to wear when you go for a job interview. Neutral colors tend to bring out the bright spots in our personalities.
- gold-is normally used within the circle for representing the God candle. It is also used for vitality, strength, success, action and courage.
- pink-is for compassion, tenderness, harmony, affection, love, romance and spiritual healing.
- silver-is the color we use within the circle to represent the Goddess candle, it also represents spiritual truth, intuition, receptivity, psychic ability, stability and balance.
- green- is a great color for when doing a ritual to bring wealth to oneself, it is also great for growth, healing, fertility, employment, and luck. This color represents the element of earth within the circle.
- purple-is color of strength for those who have a higher physick awareness. This color provides growth, self-esteem, insight, inspiration, spirituality and success in business.
- white-is used for cleansing, peace, protection, healing, truth, divination and tranquility.
- red- is a representation of sexual love, lust, passion, fire, will power, courage and energy. Red also represents the color of fire within the circle.
- black-is commonly used for divination, banishing, protection, binding, as well as for absorbing the negative energy in our day to day lives.

Candles can be used for more than making the home smell better. They create the perfect atmosphere that helps are subconscience the higher self to realize that we are in communication with the Gods and channeling their energy, when we are in ritual. That switch is vitally important for our own magickal lives to coincide with our mundane lives.
